planning to be there from UK but want to extend my stay more than 21 days. Do I still need a return flight ticket if..let's say I want to stay for 3 months.

I prefer to get the visa extensions there than here.

Answer 1 :
Yes you do need a return ticket within 21 days unless you already have a visa. I flew to the Philippines from the United States but had to get a connection in Hong Kong. They would not let me fly from Hong Kong to the Philippines until I had purchased an additional ticket within 21 days.

Once you get to the Philippines you can have your hotel call the airlines and extend your date of departure and get an extention on your visa.

Answer 2 :
My husband is german and he bought a round trip ticket for 60 days. If you want to extend your visa from 21 days to 60 days then make sure your return ticket cover those dates. Or just go to the ticketing office of your airline in philippines and schedule your return flight. It is better to have a return ticket. As soon as you arrive at the airport , you can do the extension of your visa there. It is cheaper and faster than the travelling agency in philippines.

Answer 3 :
Officially yes, that's what the gov.ph website will tell you. However, on my 3 trips to the Philippines I have never been asked to produce one upon entering. Everyone gets a 21 day visa and an extra 38 day extension can be processed at the Bureau of Immigration for an additional 3020php, current 2009 pricing. I can't speak for the UK but it's cheaper to get an extension in the U.S. before coming than to pay the additional express fee in the Philippines but I extended my visa at a field office in Surigao city with no waiting unlike in Manila where it might take several hours. Any extension beyond 59 days might better be answered by visiting the government website immigration.gov.ph but each month beyond the 59 days is a minimum 500p plus additional fees to approximately 4500php each additional month.

Answer 4 :
Its a new rule apparently. If you don't have a visa in your passport already, you will be required to have onward or return ticket within the 21 days of arrival. You can do what you want but everybody I know who used to do it the old way has been required to purchase a an unexpected ticket at the last minute in order to board the flight bound for Philippines.

Answer 5 :
Yes, absolutely. It is a requirement..and I can't see why you would come here from UK without a return ticket..reurn ticket is same price as one way.

It's true though, the Immigration officer is not going to check it. It is the reposibility of the airline to verify that. They are doing that and you can't talk your way around it.

Visa's no problem up to a year, like the guy above said. Go through an agency here...saves time and money.

Can i return the Flight Ticket back and get my money?

I bought a flight ticket and i use it for the departure , now i will stay in the country where i am now , that mean i will not go back and i will not need to use the ticket to return , can i get my money back .

Answer 1 :
You can try and ask the airline, but dont go into it expecting a thing. Technically, you already used the ticket and they dont have to refund you anything because it really wasnt their fault.

Answer 2 :
It is very rare that you would be able to do this. I have not heard of an instance of an airline allowing this. I've never bought a refundable ticket, but even then I don't think you can refund it if it's partially flown. Plus, most airlines have fare rules against buying round-trip tickets and then only flying one-way instead of the full round-trip.

Answer 3 :
You most likely will not get a refund unless you bought an unrestricted full-fare ticket which very few people do. Call your airline, you might be able to get credit for use on another flight somewhere but most likely will have to pay a fee to do so. Not knowing what type of ticket you bought, only your airline can answer your question.

How do I go about buying a ONE WAY flight ticket?

I want to purchase a one way flight ticket to Florido from...for example...cheaptickets.com or travelocity or some site where I can buy a inexpensive ticket. I'm not seeing how to buy just a one way and not a round trip. Has anyone ever bought just a one way ticket?

Answer 1 :
Take a closer look at the options when typing in your search information... For example I just checked out the Cheaptickets.com website and if you look at the bottom of the search box you will see:
Travellers? and then an option for the number
Flight preference? and then a box for non-stop flights

and then below that in smaller purple writing there will be a link for one-way flights...

Good luck! and have a good trip!

Answer 2 :
Another option is to purchase round trip and simply not show up for the return portion. You would then be flexible as to scheduling the other flight and get a deal that way.

Your one-way has to be the outbound flight. If you don't show for the first leg, the second will be cancelled.
