Can I have my middle and last names on my ticket for a domestic flight within the USA?

So I'm making a flight to a different USA State in a week from now. Just wondering if it's ok to have one's middle and last names on flight tickets?
I was meaning to exclude my first name and just use only the middle and last name.

Answer 1 :
i don't think so because your id wont match and now with TSA new security document requirements
you have make a reservation using your full name including middle name and last name on
the reservation site..
and the ID MUST MATCH EXACTLY if they don't match you don't fly..

Answer 2 :
You definitely will need to enter your last name, you can't book a ticket using only your first name. Whatever name(s) you enter should match the id you will be using when you check in. Middle names are not that important, but if your middle name is on your id and the airline asks for a middle name, use it.

I gave wrong CVV number but managed to book my flight ticket online? How come?

I book my flight ticket online n while purchasing, I gave wrong CVV number of my credit card. But then, the booking is confirmed n I already have my e-ticket. Will I have any problem during check-in? Or the transaction has never been made???

Answer 1 :
The best thing I can suggest is to call the flight company you booked with. They may of just taken your details down and reserved you a ticket, but not yet taken payment, in which case, when they come to take payment then you will have problems. Also, have a look on your credit card statement and see if the money has been debited. If it has, talk to your bank and find out how the flight company was allowed to take money with incorrect details! Someone's got to be at fault!

Can you buy an international flight ticket with no passport?

my children are still waiting on their passports. there is a great sale today on flights! can i go ahead and purchase their plane tickets?

oops...yes i am american. im flying from texas to panama.

Answer 1 :
Yes, you can purchase the tickets without a passport. They advise you not to purchase them until the passport arrives in case there is a delay of some sort. If you don't get the passports in time, they will not let you board the flight. If you are confident in the delivery prior to flight time, then purchase them. Good luck, have a good trip.

Answer 2 :
You don't say where you are flying TO. If you are flying into America, you need a scannable passport before boarding. If you are not an American you need that ESTA paper 30 days in advance of flying.

If you are flying out of America, they will sell you the tickets with a credit card number.

Answer 3 :
You can buy online through some sites without the info. I'll warn you though it takes a while to get a passport. Mine took about 9 weeks and I lived in DC at the time.

As long as you are confident they will be received in time for the flights you are fine to book now.

Why is flight ticket from AMS to LHR so expensive?

I thought it shouldn't be that much, but when I searched for tickets, it's like 140 euro+. The taxes were really huge..People say that it should be like around 100-110 euro. And yet I saw on the newspaper that flight tickets are reducing prices..Omg please help me! The dates are: 7/7/09 - 28/08/09. (AMSLHR) No matter which airline, please help!

Answer 1 :
Travel during the summer months is usually more expensive. See how much KLM is charging for the flight.

Answer 2 :
The prices of air tickets are various and depends on many factors.. The Oil is going up again, so I do not think the flights will be any cheaper in the future.. - Better book fast!

Booking a flight ticket from another country to another person from another country?

hi im from philippines and i want to book a flight ticket for someone who is from malaysia. he will fly from malaysia to the philippines and i wud be the one to book his flight and pay for it. wud that be possible and can he receive the ticket from there?

Answer 1 :
Yes, you can do that. The reservation has to have the name of the person that will be on the flight, and you may have to provide his (or her) passport number and country of issue. Once the booking has been made, the airline (or travel agent) should provide you with a confirmation (itinerary) by e-mail, or at the very least, a confirmation number. You can then pass either onto your friend, and that is all they would need when they go to the airport, since the booking will be in the airline's computer.

Is it possible to change a flight ticket name 2 weeks before flying?

My partner and I have been offered someone else's flight the details are in the process of being sorted out by the original ticket holder but my partner said he isn't sure the company easy jet allow changes to the flight name on the tickets as of yet the tickets aren't in our possesion and Im not even sure if the other person has them its so annoying :S also can anyone help about passports my partners is lost lol we need it asap

Answer 1 :
I don't think unless it is a open ticket, more than 90%don't allow u this as u may sell it to anyone later and also major companies and travel agents can sell them too.

Answer 2 :
Firstly, there airline is not likely to agree to a complete change of name, as this is effectively transferring the tickets, and if they do there will almost certainly be a fee per ticket or booking. As for the passport issue, if it is genuinely lost/stolen, then you'll need to report it and apply for a replacement, you could get the express service, which I think takes around 7 days. .

Answer 3 :
Easy Jet does allow name changes. You'll have to pay an administrative fee and any fare difference. Give them a call, it may or may not be worth it.

Answer 4 :
His/her tickets are non transferable........won't happen....lost passport....contact you local passport facility.......you won't need it anyway......your not going anywhere on some one else's tickets.....

What is the procedure for Name correction in flight ticket from Airlines?

Can anyone suggest how to get the name corrected on my flight ticket without any charges. I just have to add one word along with my first name as per the passport and when i called the Airways they are saying that name changes are not possible. You have to cancell and then do the rebooking that is costing me more. Since the travel agent is charging me for the cancellation fee. can some one suggest how to proceed..

Answer 1 :
If any part of the name on the ticket has your name on the passport you will be okay....
I had to have a notary say I am the same person as the name on my I.D when I came to California...because I go by my second name

It would be cheaper to have your signature notarized on a letter saying that, than pay change fees on a airline ticket.

Answer 2 :
Airlines will not allow a complete name change, but minor corrections are normally allowed. Call the airline again. If the agent refuses, politely but firmly ask to speak to a supervisor.

I formerly worked for a travel website and we did this many times for customers.

How should i cancel the flight ticket after booking a ticket?

how should i cancel the flight ticket after booking a ticket ,please help me immediately i need it urgent

Easy.........call the airlines and say you want to cancel your ticket.........they will be happy to keep your money........caus your not getting any of it back.........if you did'nt purchase a fully refundable ticket or trip insurance your out.......they may give you a voucher minus a cancellation fee for a flight in the future........but no bucks...........sorry.........make sure your plans are solid or cover with full refundable or insurance next time......lesson learned...........

Answer 1 :
You can normally cancel by telephone if you phone the airline help desk, you will probably have to present the ticket in person if its not an e-ticket to get your money back.

Dont phone the agent it should be the airline.

Answer 2 :
You can cancel but you might have to pay a penalty

What options do i have if i have booked the flight ticket but then i cannot travel?

hello there, actually i booked my flight ticket by American Airlines on August 3rd but now i really can't go on that date so can anyone plz tell me what choices do i have. Thank You

Answerer 1

If you bought a refundable ticket, you can get a refund. These tickets are typically more expensive, though, so if you boguht the cheapest ticket available, you likely bought a nonrefundable fare.

Your likeliest option is to call AA, cancel the ticket, and then retain the value of the ticket (less the applicable change fee) to apply to another ticket in the future. You may also be able to call and change the dates (upon payment of the applicable change fee) if you can still go, but on different dates. Either way, it's going to take a phone call to AA to have them tell you your specific options and the costs involved.

Answerer 2

Refundable ticket? get it refunded

Nonrefundable ticket?

Will you be going on the same trip later, or another trip on AA? change it and pay change fee

Is your trip completely cancelled? Maybe refund with penalties, or maybe you can at least get the tax back

If I don't have a return flight ticket, is it a problem at the airport?

I am a Korean citizen who is about to visit Canada for tourism. Korean citizens are allowed to stay in Canada for up to three months without a visa. But my flight ticket is one-way. At the airport, will the securities ask me why I don't have a return flight ticket? Can I just answer them that I will purchase them later?

Answer 1 :
I flew up to visit my father who was in the hospital, and returned with my husband, who drove up later. I had a one-way ticket, and was screened very thoroughly - pat down, metal hand wand, and hand search of all carry on bags. Another time I flew with a one-way ticket, we reversed the process. I drove with family to visit, and flew home after a prolonged stay. I was again screened thoroughly, patted down, and my purse and carry on were opened and searched by hand. I was a 50 year-old English teacher complete with a 10-year-old child on one of the trips, and still singled out. I don't think your ethnicity is the issue, but your one-way ticket may well be.

I don't know about the one-way ticket when you travel on a visa. My own travel was purely domestic. Call the airline or airport and ASK in advance so that you are properly prepared. When people come unprepared to the airport, it just slows everyone down.

Answer 2 :
Yes, they are going to wonder why you don't have a return ticket. Why don't you?

You may not even get on the plane, since if you get turned back by Canadian immigration (very possible), the airline may have to pay a penalty. In particular, you need to convince the Canadian authorities that you intend to leave at the end of your trip, and this is a lot harder if you don't have a return ticket.

Have you done much international travel?

Answer 3 :
Well I do think that you will be questioned. If you have had made previous attempts to immigrate to Canada but has been rejectedm you may not be granted permission to enter Canadian grounds.

Should I give the gift of a flight ticket voucher or concert tickets?

I am trying to decide whether to get a good friend a flight voucher or concert tickets as a gift...They are both the same price, but I don't know which would be better! And also, how to present them.

Answer 1 :
ticket is not a gift.

Answer 2 :
Concert tickets for sure
and do this...
put them in a small box
and put that box in a slightly bigger box w/ tissue paper around the small box on the inside (to avoid the shaking thing) then do the same this maybe 1 or 2 more times w/ a couple more boxes and more tissue paper it gets the person all excited for this big gift when it's actually a small box w/ an awesome gift in it lol
idk but it sounds fun doesnt it ;)

Answer 3 :
you really have to know your friend there! how much enjoyment would they get out of one compared to the other? kind of have to ignore your personal thoughts, and try view it as they would. i would choose concert tickets, but thats my own taste, maybe your friend likes travelling...

What it cost to change NW flight ticket through an agent?

I booked ticket via an agent. now I want to change flight date.
they ask me to pay $225 for changing it.but NW airline said it cost $100.... are the agent overcharging me?

Answer 1 :
Yes, the agent is overcharging you... thats how they make money... people need to learn that travel agents are the most expensive way to travel... book directly with the airline for this exact reason...

Answer 2 :
It should be $100 unless your ticket has extra restrictions on it. Just call northwest to change it.

Answer 3 :
just depends what kind ticket you have. I means what class (all except First and Business) like a Y, M, N O ticket??

I gave wrong CVV number of my credit card but managed to book my flight ticket online? How come?

I book my flight ticket online n while purchasing, I gave wrong CVV number of my credit card. But then, the booking is confirmed n I already have my e-ticket. Will I have any problem during check-in? Or the transaction has never been made???

Answer 1 :
I don't know how you did that, a couple of times when I entered the wrong CVV #, I had to go back and enter the right number. If you have a booking confirmation number you should be fine. It probably won't hurt to check online or give the airline a call to be sure, and bring the credit card with you when you check in.

Answer 2 :
Hmmm... sounds weird, it should have never happened. If you got the e-ticket, it's probably confirmed. If I were you, I'd try to give a call to the owner of the website or check if my credit card was billed...

And definitely bring the same credit card with you for check-in.

planning to be there from UK but want to extend my stay more than 21 days. Do I still need a return flight ticket if..let's say I want to stay for 3 months.

I prefer to get the visa extensions there than here.

Answer 1 :
Yes you do need a return ticket within 21 days unless you already have a visa. I flew to the Philippines from the United States but had to get a connection in Hong Kong. They would not let me fly from Hong Kong to the Philippines until I had purchased an additional ticket within 21 days.

Once you get to the Philippines you can have your hotel call the airlines and extend your date of departure and get an extention on your visa.

Answer 2 :
My husband is german and he bought a round trip ticket for 60 days. If you want to extend your visa from 21 days to 60 days then make sure your return ticket cover those dates. Or just go to the ticketing office of your airline in philippines and schedule your return flight. It is better to have a return ticket. As soon as you arrive at the airport , you can do the extension of your visa there. It is cheaper and faster than the travelling agency in philippines.

Answer 3 :
Officially yes, that's what the gov.ph website will tell you. However, on my 3 trips to the Philippines I have never been asked to produce one upon entering. Everyone gets a 21 day visa and an extra 38 day extension can be processed at the Bureau of Immigration for an additional 3020php, current 2009 pricing. I can't speak for the UK but it's cheaper to get an extension in the U.S. before coming than to pay the additional express fee in the Philippines but I extended my visa at a field office in Surigao city with no waiting unlike in Manila where it might take several hours. Any extension beyond 59 days might better be answered by visiting the government website immigration.gov.ph but each month beyond the 59 days is a minimum 500p plus additional fees to approximately 4500php each additional month.

Answer 4 :
Its a new rule apparently. If you don't have a visa in your passport already, you will be required to have onward or return ticket within the 21 days of arrival. You can do what you want but everybody I know who used to do it the old way has been required to purchase a an unexpected ticket at the last minute in order to board the flight bound for Philippines.

Answer 5 :
Yes, absolutely. It is a requirement..and I can't see why you would come here from UK without a return ticket..reurn ticket is same price as one way.

It's true though, the Immigration officer is not going to check it. It is the reposibility of the airline to verify that. They are doing that and you can't talk your way around it.

Visa's no problem up to a year, like the guy above said. Go through an agency here...saves time and money.

Can i return the Flight Ticket back and get my money?

I bought a flight ticket and i use it for the departure , now i will stay in the country where i am now , that mean i will not go back and i will not need to use the ticket to return , can i get my money back .

Answer 1 :
You can try and ask the airline, but dont go into it expecting a thing. Technically, you already used the ticket and they dont have to refund you anything because it really wasnt their fault.

Answer 2 :
It is very rare that you would be able to do this. I have not heard of an instance of an airline allowing this. I've never bought a refundable ticket, but even then I don't think you can refund it if it's partially flown. Plus, most airlines have fare rules against buying round-trip tickets and then only flying one-way instead of the full round-trip.

Answer 3 :
You most likely will not get a refund unless you bought an unrestricted full-fare ticket which very few people do. Call your airline, you might be able to get credit for use on another flight somewhere but most likely will have to pay a fee to do so. Not knowing what type of ticket you bought, only your airline can answer your question.

How do I go about buying a ONE WAY flight ticket?

I want to purchase a one way flight ticket to Florido from...for example...cheaptickets.com or travelocity or some site where I can buy a inexpensive ticket. I'm not seeing how to buy just a one way and not a round trip. Has anyone ever bought just a one way ticket?

Answer 1 :
Take a closer look at the options when typing in your search information... For example I just checked out the Cheaptickets.com website and if you look at the bottom of the search box you will see:
Travellers? and then an option for the number
Flight preference? and then a box for non-stop flights

and then below that in smaller purple writing there will be a link for one-way flights...

Good luck! and have a good trip!

Answer 2 :
Another option is to purchase round trip and simply not show up for the return portion. You would then be flexible as to scheduling the other flight and get a deal that way.

Your one-way has to be the outbound flight. If you don't show for the first leg, the second will be cancelled.

How difficult is it to change a name on a flight ticket?

The flight ticket was purchased in my sister's name, but she cannot go, I will be taking her place, but I do not know if the ticket can be changed to my name. I am not a frequent flyer and I do not know about this stuff. Thank you

Answer 1 :
Sorry, you can't travel under someone else's name. Generally, the airlines don't allow "name changes" without a big penalty, if at all.

Answer 2 :
The short answer is Very Difficult! However, you can sometimes get lucky. Your best bet is to contact the airline via telephone, particularly if your sister travels with the airline regularly. If you contact enough people, you may find someone who will take pity on you! I think that's your best bet...

Answer 3 :
I would call the airline. Unless someone else can give you a more definitive answer than I can....

I would guess one of two things:
1) You cannot transfer the ticket (says they are non-transferrable in the contract portion of the ticket). Therefore, the ticket belongs to her. This doesn't mean unusable...what the airline usually does is lets her use it within 1 year, plus charge a $100 change fee.
2) Let you put your name on it for that $100 change fee.

My gut tells me #1 is the case, but I'm not 100% positive. Call the airline.

Answer 4 :
IT's basically impossible. call the airlines though, they may be able to help you, but i think the way it works is you would have to buy another ticket and the ticket in her name will go on her account as a credit only for her name.

Renting a car without a flight ticket. What are the best deals?

I am going on vacation in November and plan on driving out. It is about 3000 both ways. I am looking for some car rental deals that do not require a flight ticket. I have been searching and searching, but can't find anything that does not require a flight ticket. Anyone know of any? I am from the New England area. Thanks

Answer :
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

I can go to any airport to purchase a flight ticket?

I want to purchase my flight ticket from the airport because I want to pay by cash.

Answer 1 :
you can get by cash but You will trigger your boarding pass
to be coded with a special security code of SSSS
which means you have more thoroughly visit with the TSA agent
which they will frisk you, search all your carry-on, have you go though
a sniffer machine and possibly a body scanner (they might even search your baggage too)
all because you paid cash

Answer 2 :
You will need to check with the airline to see if they accept cash payment. Is there a reason why you don't want to buy your ticket online? Internet bookings are generally cheaper!

Visa has a VISA/DEBIT card product now that draws the funds directly out of your bank account to help people who do not want or can't get a credit card. Check it out at one of the major banks.

Answer 3 :
you can purchase at the ticket counter. Just call ahead to the origin airport and make sure that they sell tickets at that airport

Answer 4 :
you should be able to just call the airport first and make sure you can and that theirs room on the flight

I need to change an existing return flight ticket to an open return. Can I do it since my travel plans changed?

I came over from South Africa on a return flight ticket.I do not plan to return there for about 2-3 years. Will I forfeit the money or can I change it.

Answer 1 :
Not for two years later, No. How much you paid will have a bearing on the conditions - the validity - of the ticket. Cheapest have usually a three month (sometimes 1 month) validity, next up, six months and next up 1 year. 1 year, from the date of the first flight is the best you can hope for. Normally, the only ticket you can get open is what is known as a full economy ticket or what is just under full economy
ticket, which is an expensive toy (and valid for one year). So, if you came over on a three month ticket, then you may be able to change the return, but only within that 3 month period. You should take the ticket to the office of the airline you bought the thing from and get them to verify what you can and cannot do with it. Do not part with the ticket and (please) only go to the airline office.

Answer 2 :
NOT POSSIBLE, airline tickets are valid for a maximum 12 months only on all IATA published fares. all tickets bought exceeding that period are basically the merging of two one way tickets. This is very expensive and you'd be better off buying a new ticket altogether.
Sorry to put a downer on it but I work for a on the ticket desk of a major UK based airline and deal with this stuff on a daily basis, so kinda know what i'm talking about.

Answer 3 :
Depends on the fare restrictions on the ticket, tho i very much doubt that any airline will let you leave it open ended up to 3 years, it would propbably be cheaper in the long run to purchase a new one.

Answer 4 :
You will need to speak to the airline. Different airlines have different policies and the tickets you purchased will also have an influence. However, I have never encountered a return ticket being valid for more than a year i.e. have never encountered an airline that allows return tickets to be used beyond a year. I think you may have lost your money.

What is 'document you gave for reference at reservation time' on flight ticket?

I have a note on flight ticket saying at check-in I must have identity document AND document I gave for reference at reservation time. I'm not aware of anything like that during reservation. What can they ask me for? I heard they may ask for credit card that I paid with, is it a problem if I don't have it (flight ticket was a present)? Thank you

Answer 1 :
If the ticket was bought online it will ask you to complete this form so as it was a gift you need to get the person who gave it to you to fill it in , if it came from a travel agent they will have to get them to complete one for you .
If this is to travel from the UK Im afraid you wont be able to fly without it .
EDIT
When you complete the booking on line they then send you this form to complete and they will remind you if you dont do it as you cant travel without it when going to certain countries .
EDIT
This is my last reminder
Ryanair are required to collect (before flight departure) specific travel document information from all passengers travelling to Spain (including the Canaries and Balearic Islands) from the UK, Republic of Ireland, Morocco & Switzerland. FAILURE TO PROVIDE THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AT THE DEPARTURE AIRPORT WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING DENIED BOARDING WITHOUT REFUND.
Sorry about the captials thats how its printed.

Answer 2 :
On most airlines you need the airline booking reference and your Identity document. If you are flying into Spain or the US you will have been asked to put in your "advance passenger information" ie: passport number, when issued, expiry date, date of birth and nationality. You do not say which airline you ar travelling on so can not give you a better answer but on 99% of airlines as long as the name on the ticket (of which you should have printed of a copy) is the same as on your identity document( Passport or ID Card) you are ok

Answer 3 :
Well you just have to prepare your id and the reservation number because the airline company needed that and you can go to their office to pay cash if you dont have credit card. I hope I able to help you a bit

I have already booked my flight ticket, but now I want to add a child's flight too. How do I do that?

I booked my flight ticket away ago, but now something came up and I'm also taking my little girl. Can I add a child's flight to this? If so, how? Thanks a bunch. I'm flying with Express Jet.

Answer 1 :
Call the Airline. They should be able to change your reservation.

Answer 2 :
call express jet, you'll have to purchase another ticket unless the child meets they're criteria as a lap child (under 2 years.)

Answer 3 :
Instead of getting a childs flight. You just might have to get an adult ticket instead. And just pay extra.

I am probably returning to oversea and I needed to purchase my flight ticket. (Oneway)
I wanted to purchase the ticket with either debit car or cash but what is the easiest way to get my ticket?
Is it the Travel agency or ……………..

Answer 1 :
You can use a debit card that has a Visa or MasterCard logo to purchase a plane ticket just as you would if you were using a credit card. Otherwise, you can use cash through a travel agent or in person at the airport ticket counter -- keep in mind, however, that the same ticket will be more expensive through a travel agent or at the airport ticket counter because of additional fees that are added on for purchasing a ticket through these methods.

Also note that paying cash for a one-way international ticket is a sure-fire method for getting additional screening at the security checkpoint.

Why is the price of a flight ticket with American Airlines dependent on how long I stay in the US?

We have just realized that we can buy a cheaper flight ticket from Sweden to Chicago with American if we stay there no longer than 30 days.

It is impossible for us to understand why it is that way. Does anyone know?

Answer 1 :
I have no idea. I have found that flight prices change depending on the day you leave and return.

I could venture a guess. I would guess that the reason is the chance of a guarantee of the price of fuel. I'm only guessing, but I'd say that the airlines have a rough but relatively accurate estimate of what the price of fuel will be, and how much it will cost to fly with a full cabin to Sweden and back. So they probably base their round trip airline ticket price on this estimate.
However, I'd also guess that 30 days is the cut off mark where they draw the line and say that the price estimate is not accurate enough to hope to gain a profit from the tickets purchased today. So because they've determined that they are not as accurate in their estimate of fuel cost after 30 days, they hike up the price, one, to discourage people from buying round trip tickets more then 30 days apart, and two, to better guarantee themselves the profit on the cost of fuel.

I guess this because could you imagine several thousands of people buying round trip tickets for regular price, and then the airline only receives a profit for half it's flights for those thousands of people because by the time they returned fuel cost had risen over the profit margin for the ticket they bought. Of course that doesn't explain why airlines are cheaper when you buy months in advance.

I don't know if I'm right, but it's a guess nonetheless.

Answer 2 :
How long in advance are you buying your tiickets? If you're buying them a month or two ahead I don't have an answer for you, but if you're buying them 4 months or so in advance, having a return farther out is generally more expensive since you're buying so far in advance. Buying a ticket 3 months in advance is cheaper than buying a ticket 7 months in advance.

If you go through sites like orbitz or travelocity you can sometimes get 2 one way tickets for the price of a round trip ticket, so you could buy one now, and wait a little bit to buy the other.

Answer 3 :
Could be your earlier period is more popular (school holidays for example) than later time?

Just booked tickets for May, Birmingham to Glasgow on the day Flybe released their summer schedule.
10:40 plane is free - just pay taxes charges.
6:40 flight is 164 Pounds plus taxes/charges - work that one out!
15:00 flight was also free plus taxes!

Great for us - expensive for some!

Answer 4 :
You sure it's not the cost of busy vs low season? I know Nov - Jan my tickets are almost double then what it cost me to fly in May/june.

I usually take flights from europe to US and middle east to US.. 4 times a year and its clock work on the prices.

Whether you will confirmation or not, how can we here say. That depends on the the cancellation other confirmed tickets. You must contact various other agencies. As regards to your query, as to the availability of taxi, on Diwali day, at Delhi airport, rest be assured that taxis will be plying on that day, rain or shine.

yes, u will get a taxi, they are always there..but confirmation is not certain..

It seems you have good chances, I had a waiting list on 34 once and I had managed myself to get a seat on flight back from Delhi and I am sure you can get taxi

Can I find out if someone changed their flight ticket?

I have their flight information (flight, seat, ticket number) basically he forwarded me the confirmation email from when he bought it. We're traveling together but said he may change the date and flight. Is there a way to know if this was done without being the actual ticket buyer?

Answer 1 :
No you cannot....Airlines are not permitted to give out passenger information to anybody except the police, and even they have to have a good reason for requesting the information.
It is a breach in the passengers privacy if any information was given out.

Answer 2 :
If you have the booking number you can probly check it

Can names on a flight ticket be changed?

I've just recieved a phone call from a friend saying that if she can get the name changed on one of her tickets, I can go and travel to St Lucia with her. Is this possible, because thompson are saying no, but Virgin air are saying yes? Has anybody else changed the names on a flight ticket before?
Thanks

Answer 1 :
It depends on the terms of the ticket. Most lowest-fare tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, and you'd have to buy a more expensive flexable ticket to be allowed to change, but that's not always the case, and various airlines have different policies. It's up to the airline whether you can change it and how much it will cost to do so.

I'm assuming that Thompson is the travel agency that sold your friend the ticket, and it's a Virgin Air flight? If so, then it's up to Virgin Air. If they've said that it's transferable, then it's transferable, no matter what Thompson says about it, since Virgin Air can simply issue you a new ticket at their discretion. You'll need to check with them about fees though. Changing a ticket is sometimes quite inexpensive, but depending on the airline and the terms of the ticket, it can end up costing almost as much as the ticket itself.

Most of the time I travel on the cheapest possible fare, which is almost always non-transferable and non-refundable with the airlines I fly with, but when I used to travel with my high school debate team we'd get special team tickets that could be transfered to other students without significant extra cost. So the point is that it depends on the airline and the type of ticket.

Answer 2 :
You generally can't change the name in order to give or sell the ticket to someone else (most non-refundable tickets are also non-transferable). However if your name legally changes then you can do it (i.e. if you get married/divorced)

Answer 3 :
Most airlines will charge a change fee for doing that.

Answer 4 :
Yes you can. We did it when we travelled to Greece. You can get it changed straight away but it cost us £15. May be a little more now as that was five years ago and we weren't travelling so far!

Answer 5 :
Yes it is possilbe to change the name on a lfight ticket. If the lfight is very soonthen arrive early for your flight and get it changed at he airline ticket desk in the airport. However if the flight is in a few months, contact the tour operator and get them to change it for you. It will prob cost you about £20 to do so but it is definately possible! Have a lovely time x

What is flight ticket reconfirmation?

what is flight ticket reconfirmation? .

Is it necessary ? is it needed? what is it actually?

Answer 1 :
actually, you do need to reconfirm your flights before you leave. at least 24 hours prior, call your airline and make sure there have been no delays, cancellations, or flight schedule changes. this time of year, flights are changing all the time. somtimes it's the flight number itself, or the scheduled departure time, or both. don't believe it when someone says, ''don't worry about reconfirmation'', because, yes, you do need to reconfirm your flights.

Should i earn more than a flight ticket before going to euro countries, America and Austria?

My relative had problem while visiting Austria, just simply because he looks like going to work over there more than traveling.the flight ticket wasted.I heard that they will check the person's financial status while entering the country,is it true?

Answer 1 :
They do not always your bank account, but if they suspect that you might want to work they will. And most young people run a good risk of being checked.
And when you fail to show enough funds and an onward or return ticket you might be put on the next flight home, the cost to be paid back later, at full fare.

Anyhow, you need much more than just the flight before you set out to travel. Even when you do have work visa, or working holiday visa, you will need enough money for a couple of weeks at least, and maybe a couple of months.
Better make sure you have enough money for your stay as tourist. Even when you do not use it, it will give you peace of mind, and can double as emergency funds. Leave it in your bank account, but take a bank card that allows you to take money out of the ATM.

And with the current worldwide economical situation, it is much more likely that you will not be able to get work whenever and wherever you want, so it is even more needed to start out with funds.
Source(s):
I always travel as tourist, but I have met a lot of people that did combine travel with work.

How do you get a standby flight ticket?

I was wondering how I would go about getting a standby flight ticket?

My sister's coming and moving with me and doesn't have much money- so I thought that would be cheaper than a ticket.

Let me know!

Answer 1 :
The is no such thing as a standby ticket.... You must purchase a ticket and the airlines will let you standby for a different flight as long as it's on the same day as your originially purchased ticket. If you have to change the day you will be charged the change fee, approx $150.00 plus any increase in fare.

Answer 2 :
It isnt cheaper. If you but a ticket for one flight, you can use it to standby for another earlier flight.

But you have to buy a ticket. Thats right BUY a ticket.

Answer 3 :
Just call a few different airlines and they wil help you. Pick whichever one has the best available.

Answer 4 :
Standby is not cheaper!

What do you do at the airport if you have booked ur flight ticket online?

This is my first time traveling by myself and booking a flight ticket online

What do you do next ?

Do you print the online flight ticket at home then go straight to the boarding door at the airport ?

Or do you have to wait in line for confirmation or boarding pass before going to the boarding door ?

Im so confused with everything. So please just explain the process from booking the flight online to the airport.

Answer 1 :
You don't need to print you e-ticket, although it is useful if planning to check-in at the airport. Or to keep as reference if you have checked in online and have you boarding pass(es). If the latter, then when you arrive at the airport, head for the check-in area, and either use the check-in terminals (if they have them!) or stand in line for the check-in desks. If checking in online, print you boarding pass and when you get to the airport, head for the baggage drop in if you have checked luggage, or straight to security if you have only carry on luggage.

Answer 2 :
you print the flight tiicket (which a e-ticcket()
now usually 24 hours before the flight you can print a boarding pass
(or you can do that at the airport)
then you will need to show the boarding pass to TSA secuirty
after checking (and paying for checking ) your luggage
then you go to the gate and when your flight is called
you give the boarding pass to gate agent

Answer 3 :
Print your ticket out

Check in with youre ticket

They will give you a boarding pass with gate number

Answer 4 :
Print your online ticket at home. Make sure that you also have the return ticket printed as sometimes it can be difficult to get computer access and a printer where you are going. There is usually of cutoff time of a few hours where the airline will no longer allow printing of the ticket before the flight. Make sure you have your passport if that is needed or any other identification that is required. After you do it a few times, it's no different than catching the bus. Though I do still like coming in to land at night and watching the lights.

The next thing to check is what regulations there are for baggage, weight, size, contents. Read the FAQs on your airlines site carefully.

If you are putting a bag into the luggage hold of the plane you will have to go to your airlines check in desk to leave it in. If it is too heavy, you may be charged extra.

If you are just bringing a carry on bag, make sure it's the right size or you may be told that you have to put it in the hold.

You show your passport and ticket to go into the waiting area from where the planes will be leaving. you will have to put your bag through a x-ray machine, remove jewellery, coins and possibly your shoes. You then go to the gate from where your plane is leaving. There will be signs with your flight number, which gate it is leaving from and the time that they will allow boarding. You will need to show your passport and ticket again at the gate where they will tear the ticket.

It's natural to be confused the first time you do something. Just make sure you get to the airport in plenty of time. And ask questions of airport personnel if you need to. To be honest, if you know how to use the internet you'll be able to figure out how to use the airport.

I have a flight ticket from Frankfurt to Tokyo transit at Bangkok. Can I just leave at Bangkok?

I'm Thai. I brought a return ticket(Thai airway) from Japan to Germany. The flight will transis at Bangkok. On the return trip, I don't want to go back to Tokyo any more.

Can I just leave at Bangkok?

I ask the agency they said it's illegal. I can do but I should not tell the airline because they will charge a fee.

I wonder that if I don't tell the check-in, they will let me go or not? Because my japanese visa is expired.

As I remember they need to check your destination visa before you check-in, right?

Answer 1 :
You might be able to get off the plane, but your luggage won't.

How do I activate my free flight ticket?

I won a 300 dollar flight ticket (valid for 1 year) by giving up my seat in a recent flight. Now I want to fly from west texas to houston and i saw online that the price is around 300. I want to use my free ticket for this trip. But how do I make a reservation with this free ticket? Should I call Continental airlines and ask them to book the seat for me without me paying anything? Or can this be done online as well?

Answer 1 :
Best thing would be to call the airline and arrange for this over the phone. Make sure to keep a record of your reservation number. The airline might ask for your email address so a ticket confirmation can be sent. Print this and keep it. You will need it when you check in at the airport.

Answer 2 :
You have probably received a gift certificate. This can be used on-line when you come to the payment section.

From Continentals web:

"If you are redeeming a gift certificate or electronic travel certificate, they can be redeemed at the Payment Information page during the flight booking process."

Flight Cheap Ticket

Do you know any special price or discount for a flight ticket?

Answer 1 :
You can get very useful info related to air tickets from http://us.tickets.cheap.estdeals.com/ . Check it out! Happy Journey!!

Answer 2 :
Your question is too vague to answer. Where, when? The price of airline tickets varies widely depending on when you buy the ticket, the supply of seats going to a particular destination and how far you are located from a major hub. More details are needed for a complete answer.

Answer 3 :
Depends on which airline are you going to use.

The problem is that there are only 2 airlines flying from Lynchburg: U.S. Airways and Delta Air Lines

Try to have a look on www.skyteam.com, which Delta is part of. They should have member card, which offers you some discounts.

Answer 2 :

How to purchase an overseas airline flight ticket?

I am interested in working in Japan, but the employment service I work for requires you to pay for your own plane ticket without compensation or reimbursement. Why would they require you to pay for your own ticket without compensation if they speak prospective employees in America? How do I purchase a cheap airline flight?

Answer 1 :
Please change your mind about working and living in Japan. Almost all employment services that want to employ you in Japan are the worst. You will probably be required to live in their own housing which can be deplorable and live with roommates no telling how many. They are not on the up and up. They make a fortune employing people from other countries like Australia and England. My son made the big mistake of doing this to his huge regret. The company that he worked for went out of business without notice and they went to their apartments to find that they had be repossessed and he and his roommates had no place to live. They had to travel to the American Embassy for help getting home. Please don't do this. I know how exciting it sounds but it doesn't work out that way. If you want to persist talk to the your embassy about the company first. Does it not seem strange that you have to pay for your own airfare to get to the job they have for you?

Answer 2 :
Wow! Maybe you should listen to Lila. Pretty scary story she was telling. Please, think about it! Happy new Year, Mark.Hang in there!

Answer 3 :
I'm not sure why the employment service would do that, but the cheapest travel site I've found is www.cheapair.com

How much do you believe a ticket for the Super Bowl should cost?

The price for a Super Bowl ticket is very expensive, even if you were to sit in the upper deck in the way back. On e-bay, I see ticket for Super Bowl XLI being sold at $5000 for two tickets (at $2500 each).
How much do you believe a ticket for the Super Bowl should cost for someone who is interested in attending the Super Bowl?

I think that purchasing tickets for the Super Bowl should cost no more than $500 per ticket. Tickets should start off around $100 for upper deck seats and should increase by how close you are to the field.

Answer 1 :
It 'should' cost around $500, but that's just a dream.

Answer 2 :
Trying to put a cap on supply and demand. A ticket should cost as much as the market demands....very simple concept.
